Moneterra.
The history of money in Croatia, made approachable - an educational site for the Croatian National Bank.
The Croatian National Bank wanted the public to understand how money in Croatia evolved - across centuries, currencies and political eras - without the material reading like an archive.
We researched the historical periods, designed informative visuals and crafted engaging educational content, then built it into a user-friendly site where the story of currency unfolds period by period.
Institutional content, public attention span.
The source material was rich but dense: numismatic history, monetary policy, regime changes. The audience was everyone - students, teachers, the curious. The gap between the two is where most institutional sites lose their readers.
Make finance approachable.
We structured the history into clear narrative periods, paired every era with designed visuals rather than archival scans, and wrote for curiosity instead of compliance. The result reads like a story and holds up to the institution behind it.
